This Morning

In almost 25 years married I can't remember any time that I've actually pulled an April fool on Byron.

So this morning as we were still in bed I told him very seriously that I thought I was pregnant.

I'm 44 and our youngest is already 8. Poor sweet Byron was speechless.

I'm too much a softie to hold out for very long and so he was only in shock for about 2 minutes before I told him the truth.

That was fun, fooling him like that :-) He fell for it pretty hard.

That's pretty awesome Lisa. : )

But how fun it would be to have another little Borden around in the world!

Reminds me of the time we told you about our pregnancy...the one after Dan's vasectomy. Byron had a look of shock!

Wish those years of holding our little babies and smelling their fresh baby scents didn't go by so quickly. I think it is perfectly medicinal to hold a fresh baby in our arms and sense God's joy in His creation.

We personally would be ever so glad to welcome another Borden into our lives!!

I openly confess to loving babies... their soft skin and sweet breastmilk breath. I would never not welcome another Borden. It's my body that protests the thought ;-) Creaky old thing!

PS Sue, I remember the fear of God going into both Byron and I after you conceived post Dan's v. Byron fresh from surgery and all!

My little bro April-fooled my Mama today with the old rubber-band-the-faucet-sprayer-trick. It was so fantastic. But, I must say, your's was the best I've heard yet. How much I'd love to see another baby Borden crawling around.

My Dad's birthday was today! Back when my grandma went into labor no one believed her, because it was April Fool's day and she'd had so much false-labor prior!

That's funny, Nelly :-) And PS Sue, aren't we all just so glad you DID conceive post Dan's v because who can imagine the Klein household without sweet Emily??

OH MY STARS! That is the best April fools joke I've heard! I wish I had thought of it first. There is nothing better than a newborn though. I agree completely about their soft skin and breastmilk breath.

I saw your article in the 24/7 Prayer newsletter. I was reminded that I have very good friends who have been missionaries in Tanzania for a long time now. I called their church to get their email address. Perhaps they can help you become acclaimated to the culture there. They will be coming home on furlough in May so don't wait to contact them. Their names are Tom and Joane Foltz. They have 5 children (3 and twins). Their email address is foltztan@bol.co.tz I do not know if they can get this email address at home, so you might not get an instant reply. I will send them a link to your blog too.

I have to protest... it was NOT a good joke! I had to call 911 to get my heart going again!
