Departure Day

Woke up around 4:30a.m. just because I can't sleep and I'm thinking of lots of things.

We leave the house here in Pasadena in 11 hours.

Our flight to London is at 9:15p.m.

So, we fly on Friday night and arrive in London on Saturday afternoon. We sleep there and fly to Nairobi on Sunday morning. We arrive there on Sunday night. We sleep there 2 nights before taking the 6 hour bus ride back to Arusha on Tuesday.

Home on Tuesday.

Nice.

Pain of goodbyes today.

Not so nice.

The good-byes are always the hardest. I'll be praying for your family as you go home again! Safari njema.

Im sad you have to say good-bye cuz its so hard, but just imagine that pretty soon you will get to sit out on your porch, drinking chai surrounded by samson, tesha, peppe and charlotte, looking at Heather and Colin jump on the tranpoline while mr.B is trying to figure something out and josephine and eva are in the kitchen laughing and singing and the feeling that is.Don't forget to read the green book in the guest room:P

It's been so amazing being able to follow you on your trip 'home'. I never got to talk to you guys when you when you were at our church, but what you guys talked about was truly touching. I hope to sometime come to Africa and sip tea and converse on the veranda! Know that you are missed here, but we know that you are doing a mighty kingdom work in Africa, and they miss you too :) God bless you on your journey home, and I look forward to hearing what the Lord is going to do though this amazing family!

they are the hardest... and now you are in those strange lands called airports... where you read and think and sleep and process and are thirsty and hungry and never know what time it is. love to you four in the in-between time.
